What is Max Exploit?

Max Exploit — a strategy where we deviate as much as possible from GTO to exploit field weaknesses.

"GTO = defense, Exploit = attack"

When to Use Max Exploit?

Field type Example leaks Max Exploit
Up to ABI 50 Overfolding on turn, missing value bets, passivity Yes — attack everywhere
Opponent doesn’t raise No raises with nuts Pressure with overbets
Overcaller Checks all streets, calls river Don’t bluff, value bet
Overbluffer Barrels air without showdown Call wider

Countering Exploit

If the opponent starts exploiting you:

  1. Return to GTO: stop deviating.
  2. Identify where you are being read: sizing, lines.
  3. Change your line: e.g., more checks with strong hands.
  4. Trap: simulate weakness, play capped.

Strategy in Field Dynamics

Field tendency Adjustment
People fold to 70% bets Bluff with this sizing more often
Nobody bluffs Fold more on river
Call down often Don’t bluff, only value bet
Everyone passive Play wide, barrel often

Long-term Adaptation

  1. Gather data on the field (which spots are under-defended).
  2. Tag opponent leaks (overfolds / overbluffs / overcalls).
  3. Adjust sizings and lines vs recreational players/regs.
  4. Check if the opponent started catching your exploit.

Main point: use Max Exploit where it won’t be punished.
